COMMERCIAL TERRITORY SALES MANAGER - COLUMBUS, OH


Emser Tile, LLC, the nationwide supplier of high-quality floor covering products servicing world-leading retailers, builders and contractors seeks an experienced COMMERCIAL TERRITORY SALES MANAGER - COLUMBUS, OH.

Emser Tile, the nationwide supplier of high-quality floor covering products servicing world-leading retailers, builders and contractors, seeks a Commercial Territory Manager to develop and drive the commercial business segment, more specifically in the Commercial community.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction and supervision of the Regional Sales Manager, sells to Commercial Tile contractors, General Contractors, Property Owners, Managers and Developers. 

  • Leverage relationships with contractors to keep informed about their projects and to help create/convert tile and setting material specifications during the design stage before they go out to bid.

  • Responsible for organizing commercial team account assignment and coverage in concert with RSM.

  • Collaborate with commercial sales team nationally to ensure A&D specifications are maintained through the bid process and multiple touch points (Owner, G.C., Contractors, etc.).

  • Presents and implements pricing strategies and promotional programs for accounts that provide quality solutions to customer needs within assigned area

  • Manages a regular sales call schedule for assigned accounts

  • Attends and participates in local trade shows

  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with customers at all levels, including ownership, project managers, estimators, and purchasing personnel, as well as top decision makers, by demonstrating a customer focus based on integrity and trust

  • Develops and maintains positive relationships to support the Commercial market activity with Emser Territory Managers, National Account Managers, Branch Managers, and Regional Sales Managers

  • Maintains continuous communication and follow-up with key account customers and takes responsibility for follow-up actions to ensure customer satisfaction

  • Creates and implements a Sales Plan for territory to maximize Emser’s full Commercial product line sales opportunity

  • Manages assigned budgets to approved guidelines to maintain existing business and increase sales.



Qualifications 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and maintain positive relationships with all customers (internal and external), subsidiaries, agents and sales associates.

  • Expertise and experience selling to the Installers and General Contractors.  Architecture/Engineering experience a plus. 

  • Strong presentation skills to large audiences.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment essential.

  • Ability to analyze market conditions and competition and develop strategic responses to opportunities.

  • Must be able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Must possess a minimum of 5-8 years of sales experience and the ability to negotiate contracts with Key Account customers.

  • Listening skills, communication skills, energy, enthusiasm and endurance.

  • Must be flexible to maximize business opportunities as they arise.

  • Must have College Degree, or equivalent work experience.

  • Ability to work non-standard hours.

  • Ability to travel 10% of the time and work non-standard hours.
